This unique game reserve, covering an incredible
51 800 square km, is the second largest in the world, and was set aside in 1961
for the protection of the San (bushmen) folk who were able to live in these
arid thirstlands. Sadly, very few members of this fascinating group of nomadic
people remain in these areas, having been dragged unceremoniously into western
life.
